December 31, 2012 Rich In Every Way
December 2012 For Unto Us A Child Is Born
From The Desk Of The President/CEO, Ganim Hanna
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)
This is a season when we remember the greatest Gift ever given to mankind in the form of a Baby in a manger. It is also a time when we recall God’s blessings from the past year, and I would like to share with you two of the main highlights from the latter part of 2012. Thank you for your prayers and financial support which helped make these possible, and for sharing LLBN’s vision of reaching out to God’s people throughout the world with the message of Jesus Christ—His grace, mercy and salvation.
1. Launch of new network - One of our constant
prayers at
LLBN is how we can continue to expand LLBN’s media evangelism, while
being good stewards of the limited resources entrusted to us. Several
months ago, we were approached by a well-established Latino ministry
called ALSAD, a diverse and enthusiastic group of professionals which
for the past ten years has been worshipping together and actively
reaching out to the community through health fairs and mission trips.
They had felt a burden to expand their evangelism into media to reach
even more Latino people with the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Following
much prayer, and in consideration of the overwhelming number of appeals
over the years from viewers throughout the Americas for an LLBN Latino
voice, we decided to join forces with them to launch LLBN Latino,
combining their talents, resources, and skills with our experience in
broadcasting. On November 10, 2012, ALSAD LLBN Latino moved its weekly
Sabbath worship to our current studio for future broadcasting. ALSAD
stands for “Almas Latino Sirviendo a Dios,” Latino Souls Serving God,
and we are thankful to serve side by side with them. They are currently
taping programs for airing, so stay tuned for announcements about the
official launch date.
2. Studio
remodeling and expansion – LLBN now has two worship groups meeting
regularly in our studios: the ALSAD group mentioned in the previous
paragraph on Sabbath mornings, and the weekly Arabic Friday night
program broadcast live on LLBN Arabic— to our knowledge the only Arabic
congregation broadcasting its services live on a weekly basis in North
America. With precious dollars and countless hours of hard work put in
by volunteers, modifications have been made to the current studio to
maximize its use for a worship service. Former office space has also
been remodeled for operation and outreach activities, including for
Sabbath School classrooms. Following our withdrawal from our previous
building project, we are now, with further research and assessment,
pursuing building on the property we currently own behind our existing
studios in Loma Linda. With approximately 14,000 square feet of space,
this will be four times the size of our current studio, yet financially
manageable and affordable to achieve, not to mention conveniently
adjacent to our existing headquarters. We are currently working with
architects on the projected cost, which is estimated to be $1.5-1.6
million.
The top 5 languages spoken in the world are: Mandarin, Spanish, English, Hindi and Arabic—and it is no coincidence that LLBN has five networks: LLBN Chinese, LLBN Latino, LLBN English, LLBN South Asia, and LLBN Arabic, each catering to one of these languages and more Southern Asian languages covered in LLBN South Asia. LLBN takes the mandate seriously to bring the everlasting gospel “to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people” (Rev. 14:6). As you plan your next gift to LLBN to help continue that gospel message around the world, bear in mind that in 2013, we expect US tax laws to change, so you may want to take advantage of 2012 tax codes for charitable donations before Dec 31. Call us now at 1-866-552-6881 or visit www.llbn.tv. Thank you again for giving back to the One who gave His All for us.

Heartwarming Stories from LLBN Arabic
News, Programs, and More...
LLBN's phone is ringing every day, though some calls are extra heartwarming!
One urgent message came from a viewer in Canada who only spoke French and Arabic. Miraculously, she connected with an LLBN operator who spoke French and was able to pass on the message to the LLBN Arabic team: "Please call me today as my husband does not like anything evangelical and he will not be home today!" She had many questions prompted by a program with Pastor Solomon Nazal, questions about her faith and how to go about it.
Another
LLBN Arabic viewer from near San Diego, California, left a message
wanting to talk to someone in Arabic. She later shared with Basil Nahab,
Vice President of LLBN Arabic, that she is originally
from Iraq, and at one time she tried to commit suicide because she had
no purpose in life. She told him, "One day I saw Jesus telling me about
the Bible and how to be saved. I started reading the Bible".
She told Basil she watches LLBN Arabic all the time and enjoys the station very much. She had several questions for Basil, including, "Why do I hear about the Sabbath at LLBN Arabic?” which Basil was happy to respond to. She requested that the people at LLBN to pray for her and promised to pray for LLBN as well!
LLBN Arabic is a ministry that sends the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ to the whole world through satellite and the internet. Its message of hope reaches out to millions of Arabic speaking people living in countries where they may not be reached in any other method. The administration of LLBN Arabic Network invites you to share your knowledge about LLBN with your friends, to send your constructive suggestions and to continue to pray for the success of its programs. Since LLBN Arabic is a viewer-supported network, we urge you to support this ministry not only through your prayers but through your financial gifts. LLBN is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and needs your help to continue uplifting Jesus and transforming lives of individuals as it reaches out to the inhabitants of planet Earth.
We
don't know how many lives are touched by LLBN. Most stories will never
get told until we reach heaven. An overview of our social media reach gives us just a glimpse of where LLBN is making an impact. The LLBN Facebook page reports the people reached this week: 31 in Saudi Arabia - 26 in Abha & Jizan; and 6 in United Arab Emirates. The LLBN Arabic page adds more: 56 in Saudi Arabia - 44 in Abha & Jizan, 8 in Riyadh & Ar Riyad; 14 in Egypt - 10 in Cairo & Al Qahirah; 12 in Iraq; 5 in United Arab Emirates - 4 in Dubai; and 5 in Lebanon - in Beirut & Beyrouth.
Extensive reach reported by Twitter includes: Turkey, Cyprus, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Iran, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Yemen, and Egypt. Many other Arabic viewers are from the US, Canada, Europe, and all over the world.
As mentioned, in addition to TV broadcasting, LLBN Arabic has now a page on Facebook!
Photos of volunteers working hard in the studio are being uploaded.
Videos are being shared. Encouraging Bible verses with photos of nature
are being posted. Everyone is invited to “Like” the page and be part of
spreading the good news of Jesus. Everyone is also welcome to sign up
for the newsletter of LLBN. Find us at www.facebook.com/LLBNArabic.
This page can also serve as a guide in answering questions that people
may have concerning Biblical matters and truth. Comments and suggested
can be posted publicly, or privately through direct messages.
A detailed preview of LLBN Arabic new programs, new episodes, and more news can be found at this link.
With the help of many volunteers, LLBN Arabic has started the production of several new series!
2-
Eva George, who recently moved from the Mediterranean island of Cyprus
to California and has previous experience in broadcasting, has started
volunteering at LLBN Arabic. She began recording a thought-provoking new
program that is going to be aired soon. The title of the program is
“Jesus Is My Example In My Life”, transliterated as “Yasou Mithali Fi
Hayati”. Every episode deals with one aspect of Jesus’ life on earth,
through which a lesson is learned that helps us grow in faith.
New episodes will start being aired soon for some of the on-going programs, such as:
“The
Good News of Peace--Bushra As Salam,” is by God’s grace moving forward
and is being aired live every Friday 7:00 pm Pacific Standard Time.
Many volunteers work together in harmony to make this program a means of
spreading the Word of God. It is a great
opportunity to join with other believers in worshipping God and
uplifting the wonderful name of Jesus. The producer, Dr. Edmond Haddad,
states, “A number of new worshipers are joining the people who continue
to attend these meetings faithfully. The one-hour service consists of
praising the Lord in song, health nugget, children’s story and a
spiritual message--all in the Arabic language. Everyone is welcome to
attend and experience the joy of worshipping our Creator.” The
attendees meet at the LLBN Studio which is located at 11327 Main Street,
Loma Linda, CA 92354.
New
worship songs have been recorded by “The Good News of Peace Choir” and
led by the pianist Rayan Fargo. They are being aired during the Friday
evening program of “The Good News of Peace” and other musical programing
of LLBN Arabic.

Bible Lands Tour - Update
Paul and the Churches of Revelation Tour
(Greece and Turkey)
LLBN is organizing a Spring tour to Greece and Turkey! This trip-of-a-lifetime includes
Dates: March 14-28, 2013
For a detailed itinerary and application form, please email communications@llbn.tv. Seats are limited, and available spaces are almost full, so respond back quickly!
Dear Friend:
We're very excited about doing this particular tour because I know you'll never read the New Testament book of Acts, the Pauline epistles, and the book of Revelation the same again. We'll be seeing so many places mentioned in the New Testament and their geographical setting will really help to make those passages live for you in a new way. Plus the modern countries of Turkey and Greece are both in the news these days so, as a result of our trip, you'll understand some of the current issues so much better.
March is normally a wonderful time to visit these countries and the itinerary is really special.
Istanbul is one of my favorite cities anywhere. Getting to visit the Dardanelles with some of its
historic sites is not very common. Then of course we're going to all seven of the Seven Churches
of Revelation, including Ephesus where we'll be in the very theater where Paul was, mentioned
in the book of Acts. Then the Aegean cruise to Patmos and Crete is another unusual feature of
this trip, followed by a visit to Athens, one of the world's incomparable cities, and especially
Corinth which looms so large in our Bibles.
Altogether, I think it will be a memorable trip and I'm so glad you'll be coming. If there are any
questions we can answer for you or that you'd like to discuss ahead of time, don't hesitate to give
us a call at 1-866-552-6881 / 1-909-799-6509, or send an email to communications@llbn.tv.
All the best,

Aug 2012 Jesus - The Champion
Many Chinese people are atheistic/agnostic, or practice religions such as Buddhism and Taoism. Even in the United States, 52% of Chinese Americans are unaffiliated with any religion. With over 2 million Chinese immigrants in the US, the Chinese make up the second largest foreign born population among U.S. Immigrants, following only Mexico. Yet there are only a handful of Chinese Adventist churches across North America, with the majority of them in California—which is where God worked so providentially to start a Chinese TV ministry to reach out to the country and the world from right here in Loma Linda. When American viewers contact LLBN Chinese from the mid-West or the South asking if there is a Chinese church in their area to bring their Chinese friends to, we tell them that there isn’t—but they can introduce them to watch LLBN Chinese!
We invite you to join us in our goal of taking God’s Good News to “every nation, language, tongue and people,” including the world’s Chinese people in at least one of the following 4 ways:
June/July 2012 ARISE, SHINE...
Networks News
Arise, shine! Isaiah's words are an invitation to all of us to disperse God's light to the world, and it's an invitation that the LLBN team takes to heart. LLBN's four networks leaders and staff recently met for a work session to analyze, discuss, and seek solutions to better our service to our audience, while fulfilling our mission of sharing Christ and changing lives. While time is needed for implementation, steps are being made and the plans are on the way to fulfillment!
Through social media, a whole new dimension of communication is available for us, reaching a multitude of people and their friends. There are many social media platforms which provide multiple ways to connect to people. For instance, the LLBNChristianTV channel on YouTube shares music videos and selected series. The total number of views have passed 20,000 and continues to grow daily. (Click any of the embedded links throughout the article to go to that website.) Our Twitter account distributes short messages and links to more content, engaging over 1,000 people from all around the globe. The world map (see below) shows the distribution of our followers by state/province in many different countries.
On Facebook, LLBN's page
reaches approximately 900 people directly, with friends of LLBN's
followers totaling almost half a million. The messages posted by us vary
from announcements and pictures to videos, quotations, Bible verses,
stories, events, and inspirational posts. Our newest additions are the
three new Facebook pages for each of our networks, LLBN Arabic, LLBN Chinese, and LLBN South Asia.
Extra effort is being done to reach Chinese people through networks inside China. With assistance from our Chinese-speaking volunteers, we have established an LLBN account on Tudou, one of the largest video-sharing websites in China. A couple of other Chinese social networks, similar to Twitter and Facebook, are projected to be added in the future.
"Arise, shine" is an invitation also for you! With so many things to do and so many people and nations to reach, we invite you to take part with us in any way you can. If you have an account with any of these social networks and enjoy spending time reaching others, please let us know by sending your request to volunteer@llbn.tv.
Furthermore, LLBN invites you to join our page on JustCoz in conjunction with Twitter and sign up to donate a tweet a day to raise awareness about our organization and its mission. We are also just starting on Pinterest, and plan to create meaningful boards to encourage, inspire and lead people to Christ. If you are interested in joining us, please send your email address with your request to comments@llbn.tv.
Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you!
May 2012 Alive With Christ!
Behind the Scenes - A report of God's blessings here at LLBN
“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions —it is by grace you have been saved.” Ephesians 2:4,5
LLBN recently received a call from a viewer in Florida, who had been struggling with suicidal thoughts until a program she watched on LLBN helped change her thinking around. The same resurrection power that brought Christ back to life continues to be seen today, in our lives and the lives of those we are privileged to touch. It is that amazing love and undeserved grace that continues to inspire us to minister through LLBN. Read on to see how LLBN is “sharing Christ and changing lives” through your prayer and financial support!
2. ‘Unlocking the Evidence’ series premieres – LLBN has joined forces with two young, dynamic evangelists to produce programs that can counter the misinformation about God abounding online and over the airways, and appeal to a secular audience. Entitled “Unlocking the Evidence”, this new series that recently premiered on our LLBN satellite and Internet-based channels invites you to examine the evidence for God, Jesus Christ, and the Bible. It is hosted by Michael Tuazon, Director of SOULS West, the evangelism school in the Pacific Union Conference, and Joel Moutray. The cost of this project, including television production, air time, and distribution through the Internet, comes up to over $28,700. Thank you for covering this cost to reach an audience that needs God the most!
4. Video-on-demand library – LLBN has uploaded the entire ‘Righteousness by Faith’ series by Pastor Morris Venden online on our YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/llbnchristiantv, as well as on www.llbn.tv.
Favorite music performances and episodes from other series such as
“Searching for Answers” are also available to be viewed at any time.
This expansion reaches a whole new audience and allows viewers to easily
share what they watch with others. We praise God that since we started,
at the time of printing, we have 13,584 views That number is growing
daily as more people discover the channel and are blessed by the Word of
God. We are grateful to our donors and dedicated team for making this
possible.
Bible Lands Tour
Have
you always longed to visit the places Jesus and other Bible characters
lived? To personally gain a better understanding of the culture and
settings where the stories of the Bible took place? In response to
several requests, LLBN is considering planning such a trip this October,
2012, since that is a beautiful month to travel in the Middle East.
Here are some of the possible options:
Option 1: 10 days in Israel and Jordan, including Jerusalem, Bethlehem, the Galilee, Megiddo, Caesarea, Qumran (where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found), Masada, Jerash (the best preserved Roman provincial city from the time of Jesus), Amman, Mt. Nebo, digs run by La Sierra University and Andrews University in Jordan, Petra, the newly-discovered site of Jesus' baptism at the Jordan River, and the Dead Sea.
Option 2: 14 days, including Option 1 and adding Mt Sinai and a ferry crossing of the Gulf of Aqaba.
Option 3: 17 days, including Option 1 plus a week in Egypt that would include a visit to the pyramids and sphinx, a three-day Nile cruise on a luxury ship, plus visits to Thebes, Karnak, and Luxor where the pharaohs held sway and left their well-preserved tombs and temples.
Option 4: 14-day "New Testament" tour to Greece and Turkey including Athens, Thessalonika, Philippi, Istanbul, and the homes of the seven churches of Revelation. We could also possibly do an Aegean cruise including Patmos, as well as the unusual underground Christian hideouts in Cappadocia.
This tour will feature lectures and expert commentary by LLBN Chairman and renowned archaeologist Dr. Larry Geraty from La Sierra University, and Egyptologist and field archaeologist, Dr. Robert Bates from Andrews University. Each of these tours will cost approx. $4,000 to $5,500 including airfare, transfers, entrances to sites, at least two meals/day, bus transportation, accommodation and much more.

LLBN Chinese just started production on a brand new series! 'To the Ends of the Earth', the 21st
series to be added to the all-Mandarin network, takes the viewer back
to the book of Acts. Host Timothy Zhao, pastor of the San Gabriel Valley
Chinese Company in Arcadia, California, shares what we can learn from
the very first Christian church.
Says
Hannah Ko Luttrell, Director for LLBN Chinese, “It took an amazing team
of volunteers--some who were there for the first time--to make this
production possible. We had several Chinese volunteers, and others who
were not, but everyone worked together with the common goal: to produce a
series that would share God’s love to a Chinese-speaking person,
whether here in North America or in Asia.”
Many thanks to the great team who made possible our first taping of 直到地極
(To the Ends of the Earth)! From L to R: John (camera operator), Raj
(audio operator), Leonard (director), Pastor Zhao (speaker), Orville
(character generator operator), Ashley (director-in-training), Esther
(translator) and Stacy (translator/character generator
operator-in-training).

We invite you to join us in our goal of taking God’s Good News to “every nation, language, tongue and people,” including the world’s Chinese people in at least one of the following 4 ways:
1. Share:
If you have friends, neighbors or colleagues who speak Chinese, or if
you frequent Chinese restaurants or other businesses, be sure to share
with them about LLBN Chinese, and how they can easily watch any of its
programs that span Bible studies to health talks, Christian
documentaries to a vegetarian Chinese cooking show, and testimonies to
inspirational music.
2. Volunteer:
As a ministry run almost completely by volunteers, one of LLBN’s
greatest resources is its dedicated people. Everyone and anyone who is
willing to help is needed. Especially if you are bilingual in English
and Chinese, LLBN Chinese can definitely use your skills to further our
ministry. Email us at volunteer@llbn.tv for more information.
3. Donate:
When LLBN Chinese stepped out in faith to start a network to reach the
Chinese-speaking world with a message of God’s salvation, it did not
have the money on hand to sustain such a massive undertaking by itself.
Along with the rest of LLBN, LLBN Chinese relies 100% on donors just
like you, as it is not funded by any church, conference, school, medical
center or institution. We invite you to invest
the financial resources that God has blessed you with back into His
work at LLBN and LLBN Chinese, knowing that you are laying up
incorruptible treasure in heaven! To make a fully tax-deductible gift or
for more information,

b. call 1-866-552-6881/909-799-6509
c. write to LLBN Chinese, PO Box 550, Loma Linda, CA 92354.
4. Prayer:
There is no point in doing God’s work if God isn’t at the center of all
that we do. Please pray for LLBN Chinese, that we will have the wisdom
and resources we need to fulfill this burden that God has laid on our
hearts.
For any questions or comments regarding LLBN Chinese, please use the contact information above or email chinese@llbn.tv.

May 2012 Alive With Christ!
Behind the Scenes - A report of God's blessings here at LLBN
FROM THE DESK OF THE PRESIDENT/CEO, GANIM HANNA
1. ‘Restoring Power’ series with Pastor John Bradshaw
- LLBN was blessed to team up with Restoration Ministry and Campus Hill
Church to bring you the ‘Restoring Power’ series with Pastor John
Bradshaw of It Is Written. Geared at an audience searching for God or
struggling with their Christian experience, the series answered
questions like, Can the Bible really make sense in my life today? How
can I have a successful Christian life? While funding remains tight,
LLBN stepped out in faith to sponsor the initial $38,000 air-time for
the entire series. For 14 days, we carried the dynamic series live with a
one-day delay. Keep an eye out for announcements of repeats!
3. LLBN can now be viewed on smart mobile devices
– In today’s technology-driven society, millions now rely on portable,
wireless gadgets to obtain information. Our efforts to remain accessible
where the people are at have paid off—LLBN can now be viewed on
iPhones, iPads, and other smart mobile devices! Simply use your phone’s
web browser to go to www.llbn.tv, and
by clicking on the player, you will be able to view a live stream of any
of LLBN’s four network —English, Arabic, Chinese and South Asia—
wherever you are. Development costs have been high at $27,831, excluding
the additional $0.50 cost per user per half hour, but through your
partnership we remain committed to expand the reach of the gospel
through every medium we can utilize to connect to a wider audience.

5. Bible Lands Tour –
For an exciting opportunity to visit the lands of the Bible with LLBN,
read the attached letter on the proposed Bible Lands Tour! Together we
will journey back in time and visit biblical sites while experts
highlight their significance from a scriptural and archeological
perspective. LLBN will also be filming for documentary-style spiritual
programs on site to share the experience with viewers worldwide.
As
a broadcast ministry, commissioned by the blood of Christ to present a
clearer picture of God to the world, we find it crucial to continue to
explore effective ways to share the truth to every man and woman. While
every venture is costly in labor and dollars, I’m sure you will agree it
is insignificant compared to the price of the blood of the spotless
Lamb of God. Thank you again for joining us in giving what we can to the
God who gave His all for us.
Bible Lands Tour
Thank you for thinking about this
unique opportunity. Please print the portion below, fill it out and return it
to us in an envelope by May
31. We appreciate your continued support of LLBN, and I look forward to
personally getting better acquainted with you on a pilgrimage that will broaden
all our perspectives on the lands of the Bible and help make "the Good
Book" live for us in a new way.

LLBN South Asia- May 2012
LLBN SA Director Wesley James had a trip to India last month and visited some of our volunteers and supporters in Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai. Read his full report:
Since
May 2007, when Ganim Hanna, President/CEO announced that “he felt
impressed to start an LLBN India Channel,” a lot of prayer, planning and
work has gone into the development of this ministry.
LLBN Southern Asia was launched on September 30, 2011- its programs can be viewed online at www.llbn.tv
and on Roku. The station aims to reach audiences from Afghanistan,
Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka (and
emigrants from these countries). The programs are currently broadcast in
Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, and English. However, we are
aiming at including seven more languages from the region by the end of
2012.
In April, I traveled to India to visit volunteers and supporters of
LLBN Southern Asia in the cities of Mumbai, Pune and Chennai. I found that word was spreading quickly about LLBN SA and a strong spirit of volunteerism was emerging. Some of the ministry’s supporters are originally from different religious backgrounds but their journeys to Adventism have made them passionate and eager to share their faith.
I am pleased to report that our production team in Chennai, under the leadership of Leonard D. White, Production Manager, is actively working towards producing more programs and achieving our goals. Despite their experience, skill, creativity, innovation and dedication, they find themselves limited in their capacity by a lack of equipment and frequent unexpected power failures. Their only option is to make appeals for more equipment and funds to remedy the situation.
LLBN SA is also partnering with some existing
television ministries such as “Abundant Life Ministries” (Punjabi) in
California, “God’s True Light” (Telugu) in Hyderabad, and “The Advent
Fellowship Ministries - TAFM” (Tamil) in Chennai, India. We are also
receiving invitations and requests from other ministries in different
parts of India to partner with us.
One of the most important developments is the opportunity to telecast our Marathi programs on a private television network in Mumbai. This station has the capacity to reach 10 million viewers in Mumbai via cable (the total population of Mumbai is approximately 21 million). Interestingly, the Seventh-day Adventist Church has designated Mumbai as a center for urban ministry. We see the Lord is opening doors in this great city; and, we are making a special appeal for sponsors to support this project.
In addition, we will be working with the South Asian young people in North America to produce programs for the children, youth, and young adults.
We need your prayers and support! If the Spirit impresses you, do not hesitate to join the LLBN SA global network of prayer partners, volunteers and supporters. We are eager to hear from you: please write to llbnsa@llbn.tv or call 909-799-6509.
“All His biddings are enablings.” Praise God that we can be servants in His work!

February/March 2012 Fresh Reasons for Praise
Behind The Scenes - A Report of God's Latest Blessings Here at LLBN
From The Desk Of The President/CEO, Ganim Hanna
“For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a garden causes the things sown in it to spring up, so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.” Isaiah 61:11
As spring arrives, there are always fresh, new reasons to praise our Heavenly Father. As one of our ministry partners, I want to share with you how His blessings, together with your generous gifts of prayer and support, and the hard work of our dedicated team, have impacted LLBN:
1. Short Inspirational Messages – You may have seen some of these 90-second spiritual spots between programs on Sabbath hours. We have partnered with several speakers to provide bite-sized messages for our viewers that will brighten their day with God’s Word and leave them inspired and encouraged. We hope to increase these to a daily rotation soon.
2. Electronic Newsletter – The LLBN e-Newsletter has been launched! Filled with updates, program announcements, and special promotions, this monthly electronic newsletter can be delivered right into your inbox. Sign-up on our website at www.llbn.tv or via our facebook page at www.facebook.com/LLBNtv. Updates can also be found at www.twitter.com/LLBNtv..
3. Transmitter Facility – Our transmitter facility (pictured right) has been relocated to our recently leased premises and rewired for better and more reliable signal delivery to our transmitter via a leased fiber optic cable from Loma Linda, CA to Hawley, PA.
4. Media Center Update – This endeavor, which we have been highlighting for the past several months, is currently on hold. After certain things were revealed at the last hour about the proposed facility, the former KMart building in Colton, we agreed to walk away from that particular site and to regroup, restudy the market, and identify a more suitable, perhaps smaller location. Once we find a new site, it could still take up to three years to purchase and develop the property for our use. We will continue to use our existing and leased space until then.
5. Sponsor a Bible Text Project – One of the new features added to our website is a scripture banner featuring the favorite Bible texts of our viewers. For just $25 a month, viewers can sponsor the Bible text of their choice on the banner, with acknowledgement given to the sponsor and the person or event their gift is made in honor of. In addition to sharing God’s Word with our website visitors, the money raised will go towards continuing our website ministry to our visitors from all over the world.

6. New team members – While outreach is the essence of our ministry, we firmly believe that inreach to our staff and volunteers is also crucial. We are grateful that retired pastor Don Vollmer has accepted the position of volunteer LLBN Chaplain, where he will be a source of spiritual support for the team in their work and daily lives. Don pastored and taught for 42 years in Southern California, Florida, North Carolina, and the Republic of Ireland, and is also a member of the Wedgwood Trio.
God has also sent Lili O'Ara Sararu our way to serve as our Volunteer Coordinator, where she will be recruiting new volunteers and increasing communications with our existing volunteer family. Born and raised in a communist country, Lili learned at an early age to trust God in any circumstance. With a degree in business, she projects a career path while caring for her sons and mother and helping her husband in business. Lili has also been playing an active role in LLBN’s social media marketing.
We are blessed to have them both.
In all of the above, God has proven to be as faithful as ever in giving us wisdom, patience and focus, despite the various curveballs the devil loves to throw in the way of God’s work. As we look ahead to the blessings, miracles, and challenges the coming year will bring, we thank you again for your partnership in our ministry of sharing the everlasting gospel to all nations. We deeply appreciate your continued support. Please feel free to share with us your thoughts.
January 2012 To All the World...
LLBN South Asia
“A couple of days back, I saw the LLBN program of South Asia in which you were interviewing someone,” writes Sundaram from India to LLBN South Asia Director Wesley James. “I am glad and thankful to God that LLBN has reached Nepal, Bhutan, India and other Asian countries.” Since the launching of LLBN’s newest network, LLBN South Asia, on September 30, 2011, this is just one of the many letters received from India, Nepal, Pakistan, Malaysia, Canada, Mauritius, and different parts of the United States.
John Willmott, veteran evangelist from India, being interviewed by Wesley James on "Desi Connections" |
Said
Wesley James, “This is encouraging because we are able to reach the
South Asians on the continent of Asia and those scattered around the
world – in the US, Canada, Africa, Caribbean’s, Europe, and the Far
East. We currently have programs in English, Punjabi, Hindi, Tamil and
Telugu, with more languages to come as we receive more support.”
Joy and Lalitha Kurian, from Bangkok, Thailand, recording the very first episode of "Desi Connections" |
LLBN South Asia can be viewed online at www.llbn.tv
and on Roku. The current trends in telecommunications indicate that
LLBN South Asia is on the right track. As of September 2011, there were
12.84 million broadband users in India, with the Indian Government
aggressively working on a proposal to provide 600 million “broadband
connections” to the cities and village panchayats of the country by the
year 2020.
Jesus prophesied, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14), and it looks like Internet technology will be one of the vehicles to get the message out. Ellen White wrote, “His work is to go forward in cities and towns and villages… We must get away from our smallness and make larger plans. There must be a wider reaching forth to work for those who are nigh and those who are afar off” (Evangelism, pg. 46).

“We
praise God,” continues Wesley, “and are thrilled that after several
years of planning, through the generosity of precious donors, the
prayers of countless supporters, and hard work of many volunteers, LLBN
South Asia is finally a reality. There are over 1.5 billion South Asians
who need to hear about Jesus, and we plan to use this ministry that God
has entrusted us with to reach as many of them as we can!”
LLBN Chinese
Retired
pastor Daniel Lee was looking forward to a quiet evening in his RV as
he pulled into the RV park in a small town at the southern tip of
Arizona, and walked over to the office. What he was not expecting was
for the manager of the RV park to greet him, recognizing him from his
series "Ren Shen Man Bu" or "Walking Through Life," a Bible study series
on practical Christianity which was one of the first LLBN Chinese
programs to be produced.
Pastor Daniel Lee
|
Since
those first productions, LLBN Chinese has added numerous series and
programs to its lineup, including sermons, health programs, testimony
talk shows, musical programs, Bible studies and a Chinese vegetarian
cooking show. The most recent series to be taped in 2011 was "En Dian
Jiu Shi" or "Grace Is..." by evangelist team Pastor Terry Tsui and his
wife, Linda.

As
America's only full-time Chinese Christian television network of any
denomination since 2008, and one of very few worldwide, LLBN Chinese
receives feedback from Chinese viewers around the country and beyond,
from Brazil to Hong Kong. They view LLBN Chinese on satellite, on Roku,
or online at www.llbn.tv.
"It is always heartwarming to hear feedback from people like
this gentleman, and others who contact me to tell me of the blessings
received and who encourage me to continue with this ministry," says
Pastor Lee. Adds LLBN Chinese director Hannah Ko, "If you have any
Chinese-speaking friends or acquaintances, be sure to introduce them to
LLBN Chinese! They may gain a blessing that will change their lives,
perhaps for eternity."
LLBN Arabic
The young Iraqi cashier paused as Irene Fargo, host of the "Shakhsyat Min Alkitab Almuqaddas" or "Bible Figures" program on LLBN Arabic, approached her with some groceries at a store in San Diego. "Hey, you're the one on TV, right? I watch your program at 2 am when I get home!" she said excitedly. While this is a program targeted at children, the Bible stories covered in this series had apparently touched the heart of this young adult.

Said producer Dr. Edmond Haddad, Chairman of LLBN Arabic and former president of Middle East University in Beirut, Lebanon, "As we worship together and uplift Jesus, it's exciting to know that at the same time we are reaching out to countless more Arabic people via television and the Internet."

Arabic Adventist Congregation meeting in LLBN studio |
Launched by LLBN in 2007, LLBN Arabic is a full-time Christian television network that can be viewed on the Internet at www.llbn.tv
, MOIPTV, Roku, and on satellite Galaxy 19. There are many foreign
language networks on this satellite, including over 30 Arabic channels.
Shared LLBN president/CEO Ganim Hanna, "Knowing that there already is an
Arabic audience tuned to satellite G-19, we felt that this was a great
opportunity to place our Arabic network there to spread the good news of
Jesus Christ to this language group in North America and the
surrounding countries."
