LLBN eNewsletter, November 2017
Season’s Greetings Fellow Believers,
Philippians 4:6 says “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God”. This is a verse that reminds me to be diligent in my prayerfulness. However, I think we often overlook the other part of this verse: thanksgiving.
It is important to petition God with a heart of gratefulness. After all, He is a wonderful God who is exceedingly more generous than we deserve, and that is in all aspects of life my friends.
It is in those moments of setbacks, despairs, and bumps in the road that we must remember to be thankful because God blessed us enough in life to care when things don’t go right.
That is a true testament here at LLBN. I have seen moments when God provided so much out of nothing. I have seen God’s blessings to LLBN through you, our faithful viewers and partners in this mission work. As I prepare to spend time with my loved ones, I am reminded to reflect on what God has done for me. I implore you to do the same.
On that note, I pray that you all have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving.
<!--[if gte mso 9]>Warmest regards & blessings,
Ganim Hanna

December 2014: Following the Greatest Teacher Ever Born
April 2014: Christ is Risen!
From The Desk Of The President/CEO, Ganim Hanna
December 2013: Christmas Blessings and Happy 2014!
BEHIND THE SCENES
A report of God's latest blessings here at LLBN
Luke
2:13-14 ‘And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host
praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace,
goodwill toward men!”’
From The Desk Of The
President/CEO, Ganim Hanna
Dear
Friends,
Can you
imagine what it was like to see and hear the angels light up the Bethlehem
skies with their song? Their message, of a loving God giving His Son to bring
peace and goodwill to all the earth, is one that will be carried till the end
of time—and a message that LLBN is determined to rebroadcast till then. To
people around the world, LLBN is sharing in English, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish,
Hindi and various southern Asian languages about a Savior born to die that they
might have eternal life. Through your support, I am thrilled to see how God has
blessed LLBN in 2013 so that we can continue this mission. Here is a brief
report on some of those blessings:
- Testimonies: One of the greatest blessings that we receive here is the testimonies of how God is using LLBN. We recently aired the story of singer Sheila Hodgkin, whose live musical performance on LLBN awoke her sister Liza who had been in a coma for over two weeks at the Loma Linda University Medical Center. We heard from a man who had slowly drifted away from the church, and it was only through LLBN that he kept a connection to God which eventually brought him back to church. One letter we received from a lady told us that it was the messages on LLBN that eventually led her to reconcile with her daughter with whom she hadn’t talked with in over 20 years. Stories like these never cease to amaze me as I catch a glimpse of how God is using this ministry for spiritual, emotional, and even physical healing.
- Technology Migration: This year, we completed a major technology transition from our broadcast center to a vendor-based technology center. With a professional engineering firm dedicated to maintaining the system daily and upgrading it when necessary, this means less outages and faster resolution of technical problems for our viewers. This reliability is crucial for us to maintain our television signal to you. We no longer need to rely solely on our volunteer engineers who can only fix problems when their work schedule allows, nor do they need to be awoken at odd hours of the night to troubleshoot problems! And instead of making huge capital investments when equipment fails or gets outdated, LLBN now only has a fixed predictable monthly cost. We are continuing to work with this company to perfect the system for our specific needs and achieve peak performance.
- New Website: Have you checked out LLBN’s redesigned website? After months of planning, we finally launched an integrated web center using a vendor-based program that allows each LLBN network to manage and update it from anywhere around the world, which means a website with more current information. There are also more functions built into it, like pages you can submit your prayer requests, view video archives (like our recent Joseph Story series), and watch the live stream of any of our five networks on PCs, Macs, and mobile devices. Check it out at www.llbn.tv!
- New Staff Member: We are excited to welcome Jay Hughes to the LLBN family! Jay is our new Trust and Gifts Officer working directly with me, bringing our number of professional employees to five. He is our liaison with the Western Adventist Foundation and Loma Linda University Foundation, and plays a key role in donor and viewer relations. Jay completed his training as a Trust Officer with the General Conference and comes to LLBN with five years of experience in trust services and promotions, prior to which he worked for Loma Linda University. As the son of Pastor J. Fred and JoAnn Hughes, Jay always felt a calling to work for God, and is glad to have found a home in LLBN’s ministry. If you’d like to get in touch with Jay with any questions you have about wills, trusts, or other gifts, please call him at (909) 651-5543 or email him at gifts@llbn.tv or jay@llbn.tv.
July 2013: Shining Ever Brighter
FROM THE DESK OF THE PRESIDENT/CEO, GANIM HANNA
2. LLBN Latino ALSAD: It is hard to believe that at the end of last year, LLBN Latino ALSAD
was still just a well-planned concept. Yet with God’s blessing on the hard work and passion of
the LLBN team and ALSAD group,LLBN’s newest television network has not just taken off,
but is racing ahead to accomplish its mission ofreaching the Spanish-speaking world for Christ.
The lineup of the 24/7 all-Spanish network includes a live church service, En Adoracion, taped every Sabbath morning from the studios of LLBN; a daily Sabbath School class, Una Pausa en el Camino; and an interview program with professionals who have excelled in their field and in missions, Dialogo al Punto. A cooking show, Mi Favorita Receta, is slated to launch this July.

We praise God for the overwhelming feedback we have received from North, Central, and parts of South America, which are covered by LLBN Latino ALSAD’s satellite signal. Thank you for your continued prayer and financial support of LLBN Latino ALSAD and the other four LLBN networks—LLBN English, LLBN Arabic, LLBN Chinese, and LLBN South Asia.
3. New programs: After much research, LLBN was excited to add several new programs to its
lineup this year: Living Lessonswith Pastor Karl Haffner; Encounters of Jesuswith Pastor Bill
Liversidge; Walla Walla UniversityChurch; Fountainview Academy; Signs of the Timeswith
Willard Regester and Vicki Griffin; Making Waveswith Jim Ayer; Adventist World Radio; The
Evidencewith Pastor Dwight Nelson; and specials such as Restoring Powerwith Pastor John
Bradshaw. Through your help, it is part of LLBN’s mission to support these ministries by
giving them subsidized access to our airways to reach a wider audience, as well as to bring
their uplifting content to our viewers.
To see when these programs play, download a TV schedule at www.llbn.tv, or call or write
to us for your free copy. A schedule is also included in all donation acknowledgements.
4. Bible land tour: In March, a total of 31 people went on the 14-day LLBN tour of Turkey and
Greece. Led by LLBN Chairman and renowned archaeologist Dr. Larry Geraty from La Sierra
University, and Egyptologist and field archaeologist Dr. Robert Bates from Andrews
University, the group visited sites of the Seven Churches of Revelation (Ephesus, Smyrna,
Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea), as well as the island of Patmos
where John received the Revelation. The trip also covered key places linked to the ministry of
the Apostle Paul, such as Athens, Corinth, and Troas. Other sites visited include Mycenae,
Olympia, Istanbul, Troy, and Pamukkale, and a cruise to the islands of Crete and Santorini.

In addition to being a great way to get acquainted with some of our viewers and donors, this trip not only helped raise money for LLBN, but allowed LLBN to collect video footage and information for a documentary series on the Seven Churches. The project is currently in post production and will air on LLBN later this year. Stay tuned for announcements about the airing dates, as well as about future trips so you can make plans to join us then!

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)
This is a season when we remember the greatest Gift ever given to mankind in the form of a Baby in a manger. It is also a time when we recall God’s blessings from the past year, and I would like to share with you two of the main highlights from the latter part of 2012. Thank you for your prayers and financial support which helped make these possible, and for sharing LLBN’s vision of reaching out to God’s people throughout the world with the message of Jesus Christ—His grace, mercy and salvation.
1. Launch of new network - One of our constant
prayers at LLBN is how we can continue to expand LLBN’s media evangelism, while being good stewards of the limited resources entrusted to us. Several months ago, we were approached by a well-established Latino ministry called ALSAD, a diverse and enthusiastic group of professionals which for the past ten years has been worshipping together and actively reaching out to the community through health fairs and mission trips. They had felt a burden to expand their evangelism into media to reach even more Latino people with the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Following much prayer, and in consideration of the overwhelming number of appeals over the years from viewers throughout the Americas for an LLBN Latino voice, we decided to join forces with them to launch LLBN Latino, combining their talents, resources, and skills with our experience in broadcasting. On November 10, 2012, ALSAD LLBN Latino moved its weekly Sabbath worship to our current studio for future broadcasting. ALSAD stands for “Almas Latino Sirviendo a Dios,” Latino Souls Serving God, and we are thankful to serve side by side with them. They are currently taping programs for airing, so stay tuned for announcements about the official launch date.
On behalf of my LLBN colleagues and the millions of people we are all able to touch through this
ministry, thank you so much for your partnership with LLBN. Every prayer and gift makes a
difference, and I appreciate your commitment to sharing Christ’s love and grace to the world. -GH
February 2013 Love Holds Everything Together
Dear Friends and supporters of LLBN,
I am pleased to inform you that, as previously mentioned, we have launched the LLBN Latino channel on satellite G19 effective January 9, 2013. We are amazed at how instantly the feedback was received from several entities within North and Central America. This is indeed exciting and has taken much strategizing and hard work by many to make this happen, particularly by Derrell Mundall, our VP of Marketing and assigned Senior VP of LLBN Latino.
Having broadcast on satellite G-19 for the past 2 years, we had discovered that there is a larger English, Arabic and Latino and less Chinese viewership on this platform, due in part to
the fact that a number of other Chinese networks had left satellite
Galaxy 19, thereby reducing the total 'neighborhood' of Chinese viewers.
That being the case, in collaboration with our VPs including Communications VP/LLBN Chinese Director Hannah Luttrell, we felt it wise to refocus LLBN Chinese resources on
non-satellite means of distribution, including all-Chinese IPTV networks
similar to Roku, where it would be better positioned to reach out to a
secular Chinese audience. Redirecting the Chinese channel onto different platforms with a larger Chinese viewership can benefit from the broadcast, and have LLBN Latino take its place on the satellite for the remainder of the contract.
I wish to recognize Hannah Luttrell for her extraordinary effects for taking a lead in keeping the Chinese network growing, alongside her team.
For clarification purpose, with this change, the LLBN channels currently on satellite G-19 are:
December 2012- LLBN English
- LLBN Arabic
- LLBN Latino
- LLBN English
- LLBN Arabic
- LLBN Chinese
- LLBN South Asia
- LLBN Latino
